What is a Favicon? 
A Favicon (short for `Favorite Icon`) is a tiny image that appears before your site address in a browser's Favorites Menu & in the Location Bar (the white bar across the top of your browser with your site address in it).
Favicons assist in branding your site & allow users to easily identify your site in a long list in their Favorites Menu.

Please note: Favicons are supported by nearly all browsers, including: Internet Explorer, Firefox, AOL Explorer, Safari, Mozilla, Opera and others. For users of Internet Explorer, the Favicon may take a few days to appear after installation. Also, please note, Favicons may disappear if a browser's cache is emptied. It will reappear if the site is added to the browser's favorites list again.
